ALEX BLANKENBURG

Lead Goalie Instructor

Alex has been passionately working with youth players and goalies for 10 years now. He has worked with kids as young as 5 years old, all the way up to men's league goalies looking to tune up their game, and everywhere in between. He worked for Future Pro Goalie School & Future Pro USA for 8 years as a lead instructor at summer camps and tune-up clinics, as well as a certified private instructor. He has also worked at MavX Hockey camps in Omaha. Alex believes in having a solid foundation with basic movements, recoveries, and save selections. From there, Alex seeks to give goalies the proper knowledge and tools to add to their game. No two goalies play the exact same, so he works with each goalie on an individual basis to develop a game plan that suits their style focused on making proper reads, being efficient in movements, tracking, and puck handling. Alex has helped coach multiple goalies to the Junior, College, and Professional ranks throughout his coaching career.

Alex grew up playing AAA hockey for 10 years in the Metro Detroit area where he won 3 State Championships before moving on to play 3 full seasons of Junior A hockey in the NAHL. After that, he moved to Omaha to play NCAA D1 hockey in the NCHC at the University of Nebraska - Omaha for 4 years. 4 time NCHC All Conference Academic, 4 time NCHC Distinguished Scholar Athlete, 2 time ACHA Academic All American. Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with Majors in Finance, Banking, Portfolio Management, with a Minor in Real Estate.
